Petter Forsberg Chairman/CEO, Trees4Expenses AS, NORWAY

Petter has a law degree from 1981 and has run a private practice as a lawyer since 1986. Petter is also an investor, founder and director of several companies. He has three years of bank experience, the Bank Academy 1st division, an Erickson diploma in coach 4th level, and has also worked as a couple therapist. Petter is a shareholder in Trees4Expenses AS and will handle any jurdical issues as well as being press contact for the company.

Trees4Expenses AS is a Norwegian registered sales company where the majority of the shares are owned by the forestry company Better Globe Forestry Ltd., Kenya. Trees4Expenses was formed April 2014 to sell mahogany trees and to support all of its customers on behalf of Better Globe Forestry. The forestry company will manage and secure our customers' trees in best ways to be able to pay back the estimated future return of more than 13 times per tree.

Better Globe Forestry is known for their holistic and sustainable approach to solving desertification in Africa and is committed to extensive commercial tree-planting as part of its overall environmental and social mission. They started their first pilot project for a major tree plantation of 5,000 hectares (12,355 acres/50km2) in 2006 and have today a total of three forestry plantations in Kenya, where the largest one is 60,000 hectares.

Trees4Expenses will, in cooperation with Better Globe Forestry Ltd., serve all of our customers in best ways to:

We are pioneers in planting trees in semi-arid lands (ASAL) and develop a range of interventions to cooperate with neighbouring communities and individuals.

Jean-Paul Deprins Managing Director

Jean-Paul is a Belgian citizen who has taken on the implementation and management of the Better Globe Forestry projects in Kenya., setting aside his activities as MD of a well-known business consultancy company “Total Quality Management” in Nairobi. Jean-Paul has a vast experience of senior management in Europe and Kenya.

Jan Vandenabeele Executive Director

Jan is a Belgian forester/agronomist with more than 30 years experience in management and technical implementation of locally and internationally financed projects in Europe, Africa, South America and Asia. He is well respected in forestry circles for his experience and know-how in matters of afforestation. Jan is married and lives in Kenya.

Dr. Ben Chikamai Board Member

Dr. Ben Chikamai is a Kenyan who is currently the Director of Kenya Forestry Research Institute. He has an M.Sc. in Forestry from the University of Toronto, Canada, and a Ph.D. from the University of Wales, Bangor, UK. He has extensive working experience in Forestry Utilization, Forestry and Natural Resources Management, Research Management and Networking in Research and Development.

Jean H. Doyen Board Member

Mr. Doyen is a Civil Engineer and has worked for the World Bank for more than 20 years. As a Consultant/Sr. Advisor Infrastructure Policies & Programs, he has worked on preparation, evaluation, and monitoring of projects and programs in the infrastructure sectors covering in particular institutional, financial/economic aspects, and PPP (public-private partnership).

Kaari Mundia Executive Secretary

Kaari has previously worked in senior management positions in the Credit Union movement both at the local and international level. She has also served as a non-executive director of a publishing firm in Nairobi.

Wanjiru Ciira Managing Editor Miti MAgazine

Wanjiru is a long-serving journalist with over 25 years of experience in writing, editing and managing magazines. She worked with the major Kenyan dailies before branching into magazines. A versatile editor, she worked on a wide range of magazines before her current position. She is a founder editor of Miti, the Tree Business Magazine for Africa, a publication of Better Globe Forestry.

Lawrence Muema Finance and Accounts Manager

Lawrence is a certified, dynamic and no-nonsense public accountant. Lawrence holds a degree in business and administration. He has more than five years experience working as an accountant in a school, a restaurant and a health provider. He is an expert in using QuickBooks and has a wealth of experience in taxation.

Bernard Mailu Head of Administration and Purchasing

Ben has vast experience in supplies management, covering over 25 years. He has, among other things, been in charge of purchasing, stores and transport in an agroforestry company in Nyeri, has worked in a brewing company as the Stores Controller, and also worked as an Internal Controls, Security and Site Manager for a tyre manufacturer.
